Continue the darkness craze but doing a little something to help our world. This Saturday, March 29th at 8pm, participate in Earth Hour, a global event to raise awareness of energy responsibility and reduction, by powering down those PCs and unplugging your Wiis. Promoted by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature, the first Earth Hour was held in Sydney last year and was estimated to have reduced energy consumption by up to 10%!
Sadly, New York is not participating as an official partner city — because all those Wall Street lights really need to stay on *eyeroll* — but that doesn’t mean you can’t tune out and do your part.
So plan a candlelight dinner, an evening walk with your honey, a buddy or fido, or something a little more scandalous (wink, wink). Get turned on to turning off. Because everyone looks better in the dark.
