Cool new art info and networking site Artlog.com hosts a special tour of the Neue Galerie’s Gustav Klimt collection on this Sunday, March 9th at 5:30pm. The Neue Galerie highlights German and Austrian art and is housed in a 1914 Carrère & Hastings (of New York Public Library fame) building. Klimt’s luminescent creations draw heavily on Byzantine art, drawing a line to the early 20th century by using gorgeous, modern subjects. The Neue maintains eight paintings and 120 drawings in its collection of Klimts.
